NEENAH, Wis. (December 19, 2022) - Jewelers Mutual® Group’s president and chief executive officer, Scott Murphy, was named one of Wisconsin’s most influential business leaders in 2022.
In 2015, Murphy came to the Neenah-based company which provides business insurance and risk management solutions to U.S. and Canada’s jewelry retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and appraisers, and personal jewelry insurance to nearly 1 million consumers. In addition to its Neenah headquarters, the company has offices in Dallas and Miami.
Under Murphy’s leadership, the company transitioned to a mutual holding company in 2020. Also, that year the company acquired Wexler Insurance Agency, followed by its acquisition of fine jewelry e-commerce site Gem + Jewel in 2021. It also became the “official jewelry insurance” of the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, its first-ever partnership with a professional sports franchise.
The company was also recognized on Deloitte’s Wisconsin 75 list and ranked among Ward’s 50 top-performing property-casualty insurance companies this year.
