They cover different risks—discover which one (or both) fits you best.
Warranties and insurance are often mentioned together, but they’re not the same. Think of warranty and insurance as two pieces of the protection puzzle—both important, but serving different purposes.
A jewelry warranty usually comes from a brand or jewelry retailer. It covers repairs for defects and minor wear and tear such as loose stones, prong tightening and re-tipping, clasp and chain repair, cleaning and polishing, and (in some cases) resizing. Lifetime warranties exist, but more commonly they have a duration—months or years. And they often necessitate regular checkups to stay valid.
Jewelry insurance provides financial protection in the event of a significant loss, including theft, damage, or disappearance. We’ll connect you with your jeweler of choice for repairs or replacement.
A warranty is not a substitute for insurance.
If your jewelry is lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged, you’re out-of-pocket for a repair or replacement.
Insuring your jewelry means it’s protected—no matter what happens.
