Giving back brilliantly
Jewelers Mutual has an extensive history of supporting the jewelry industry and, just as importantly, the communities in which our customers and employees call home.
Strengthening the Jewelry Industry
Each year, we contribute millions of dollars to associations and organizations that promote the prosperity of the jewelry industry and invest in services, tools and resources that help support, strengthen and protect jewelry businesses.
Our jewelry business customers enjoy free membership to the Jewelers’ Security Alliance or Jewellers Vigilance Canada – both loss prevention organizations, granting them access to online training that encourages their continued safety and security education.
Additionally, we support organizations that promote ethical business practices, such as American Gem Society, Jewelers of America, MJSA (Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America), Women’s Jewelry Association, Canadian Jewellers Association and Canadian Jewellery Group to name a few.
Examples of our recent industry contributions include:
Female Veteran Grant
We collaborated with the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) to award a merit-based grant to a US Military veteran for professional growth within the jewelry or watch industry.
Radiant Minds Technology Scholarship
We joined with Black in Jewelry Coalition to offer financial support to WJA’s Radiant Minds Technology Scholarship with its goal of providing women of color the education they need to be successful in tech-related jobs within the jewelry industry.
Safety and Security Education
We contributed to Canadian Jewellery Group’s education day where we also shared our expertise and risk management solutions to help jewelry business enhance their safety and security best practices.
We are currently accepting requests for funding or volunteering to organizations located in the communities our employees live and work – within the areas of Neenah, WI, Dallas, TX and Miami, FL. As a company founded by jewelers 110 years ago, we prioritize requests that support our core area of focus which is at the intersection of our beloved jewelry industry and arts and education.
Additional consideration will be given to organizations outside our focus areas as volunteer opportunities. We prefer to provide support to specific programs and/or projects. To qualify for consideration, your organization must be a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization.
Please email your request or inquiries to [email protected].
We are committed to reviewing all requests within 30 days of submission.
Helping Our Employees Help Others
Encouraging and supporting our employees to be socially responsible and involved in our communities is a top priority. Together we shine and make our communities strong.
Our employees are generous givers. The company amplifies this generosity by matching their charitable donations 50% to any eligible non-profit organization nationwide.
All employees are granted 12 paid volunteer hours each year and are encouraged to volunteer either individually or as a group through company-organized events.
Individual departments are empowered to and often organize their own charitable initiatives above and beyond what the company sponsors. During the holidays you’ll often see department food drives, coat drives or adopt-a-family programs popping up across the company to support our local communities.
Our employees’ children are eligible to apply for educational scholarships each year. We also sponsor various jewelry industry scholarships and training.
