Oscars Jewelry 2014 Did Not Disappoint

on Mar 6, 2014 3:47 PM

All eyes were on the red carpet for the 86th Annual Academy Awards as millions of dollars of jewelry were on display, setting trends and making statements.

For us at Jewelers Mutual, where jewelry is what we do, it's a fun time of year.

Here are some of our picks of the night for best Oscars jewelry:

Lupita Nyong'o wore a magnificent gold and diamond headband and gold and rose-cut diamond spiked crescent earrings. She also wore a 19th century gold and diamond snake bracelet and several vintage rings, all from Fred Leighton.

Jennifer Lawrence stunned in a Neil Lane necklace weighing 100 carats and cost $2 million. Also worth mentioning… her 10-card diamond studs and diamond-and-platinum ring. You may recall that she made a similar statement at last year’s Academy Awards, with her backwards beaded chain.
